This Privacy Policy describes how Taipei Digital LTD (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with your use of the FeelPoint mobile application (the “App”). We are committed to protecting your privacy.

  1. Information We Collect

When you use the FeelPoint App, we may collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: When you create an account using your email address, we collect your email address and store it securely along with your password via Firebase Authentication services provided by Google.
  • Mood Diary Data: Any entries you create in your mood diary, including the selected emotion, custom emojis/GIFs, titles, and descriptions, are stored in our Firebase database associated with your account.
  • Customization Data: If you upload your own images or GIFs for custom emojis, these files are stored in our Firebase storage to enable their use within your diary entries.
  • Device and Usage Information (via Third Parties): As detailed below, third-party services integrated into our App may collect non-personally identifiable information related to your device and App usage.
  1. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To Provide and Maintain the App: Your account information is used to create and manage your user account, enable secure login, and allow you to access and use the App’s features, including saving and retrieving your mood diary entries and custom emotion settings.
  • For Advertising: Information collected by third-party advertising services is used to display relevant advertisements within the App.
  • For Analytics and Crash Reporting: Data collected by third-party analytics services helps us understand how users interact with the App, identify and resolve technical issues (crashes), and improve the App’s overall performance and user experience.
  • To Personalize Your Experience: Your mood diary entries and custom emotion settings are used to personalize your in-app experience, such as displaying your chosen emojis in the calendar view and generating personalized insights from your data (currently, a Donut diagram based on emotion proportions).
  1. How We Share Your Information (Third-Party Services)

We rely on reputable third-party service providers to support our App’s functionality. These providers may collect and process information as described in their own privacy policies:

  • Google Firebase (Authentication, Database, Storage, Analytics, Crashlytics): We use Google Firebase services for user authentication (storing email and password securely), database storage for your mood diary entries, storage for custom images/GIFs, and analytics (including Crashlytics for error reporting). Firebase may collect device information, usage data, and crash reports.   • Google AdMob (Advertising): We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect your device’s advertising ID, device type, operating system, IP address, and information about your interaction with ads. This data is used for advertising purposes. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

  1. User Data and Control
  • Your Mood Diary Data: The entries you create, including associated custom emojis and GIFs, are stored in our Firebase database and storage associated with your account. This data is accessible only to you through your authenticated account.
  • Account and Data Deletion: You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. This functionality will be available directly within the App’s settings. Upon deletion, your email address, any associated profile information from Google login (if applicable), all your mood diary entries, and custom images/GIFs will be permanently removed from our active databases.
  1. Data Retention

We retain your account information (email) and mood diary data for as long as your account remains active. Upon account deletion, this data is permanently removed. Information collected by third-party services is retained by those services according to their respective privacy policies.

  1. Your Choices and Rights (GDPR & US Privacy)

As a user of FeelPoint, you have certain rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access and Rectification: You can access and update your account information and mood diary entries directly within the App.
  • Deletion (Right to be Forgotten): You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data. This functionality is provided within the App.
  • Object to Processing: You can object to certain processing activities, such as personalized advertising, by adjusting your device’s advertising settings.
  • Data Portability: You have the right to request a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Please contact us for such requests.
  • Consent Withdrawal: Where we rely on your consent for processing (e.g., for certain types of advertising tracking), you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time through your device settings.
  • Complaints: If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

  1. Children’s Privacy

The FeelPoint App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with information, please contact us at the email address below, and we will take steps to remove such information.

  1. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your account information and mood diary data stored in our Firebase database against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  1. International Data Transfers

Your information, including personal data collected for your account and your mood diary entries, may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, where our service providers (like Google) operate data centers (e.g., the United States). By using our App, you consent to the transfer of information to these locations. We rely on standard contractual clauses, or other appropriate legal mechanisms, to ensure adequate protection of data transferred outside of the European Economic Area.

  1. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page within the App or on our website. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
